Dog Events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide 11 to 13 September 2026
Dog Events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide 11 to 13 September 2026
Brisbane has the big dog day this weekend, with Barktoberfest taking over Carseldine Markets on Saturday morning. Melbourne has two organised dog-friendly walks, several puppy sessions and a busy competition calendar, while Adelaide has the final weekend of dog judging at the Royal Show alongside markets, puppy yoga and club events.
There are plenty of regular markets too, so finding somewhere for breakfast with the dog should not be difficult.
Competition events are generally for entered dogs. Only bring a pet dog as a spectator if the organiser has confirmed it is allowed. Puppy-yoga and painting sessions use puppies supplied by the organiser, so your own dog stays at home.
