Dog Events in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne | 30 October-1 November 2026
If your dog owns a costume, this is the weekend it finally earns its keep. Halloween has worked its way through the dog calendar, bringing parades, pup-cup potion bars, themed markets and a few very patient dogs dressed as pumpkins.
Away from the fake cobwebs, Melbourne Cup weekend has produced one of the biggest specialty-show programs of the year. Brisbane has rally, scent work, agility and trick dog, while Adelaide has a good mix of scent work, dancing, tricks and championship shows.
Everything below was checked against an organiser, venue, council or governing-body source at the time of publication. Event details can still change, so use the link in each listing before heading out.
Competition events are intended for entered dogs. Do not bring a pet dog as a spectator unless the organiser confirms it is allowed.

That is a lot of dog activity for one weekend, even before anyone counts the number of capes, bat wings and tiny witch hats likely to appear. Pick the outing that suits your dog rather than the one that looks best in a photo, check the organiser’s latest update and leave some room in the weekend for an ordinary walk.
